Prince William Chooses To Break Royal Protocol, His Choice Would Leave Diana In Tears

In the past few months, England has gone through more than most countries go through in years. With all the headlines that have been made, times have been tough on the people of England. But, through it all, the country has remained strong and united.

The latest event that occurred inside the capital has made the entire world mourn along with them.

The North Kensington area in London was rattled by an enormous apartment fire which left dozens without life and even more missing. Thankfully in such a time as this, the community rallied around each other and worked to provide temporary housing, supplies and food to those in need.

In addition to civilian help, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II visited the area to offer their condolences and help. That’s where Prince William met a woman named Fatima Jafari whose husband was trapped in an elevator during the blaze and is currently missing.

The Prince listened respectfully as Fatima tried to hold back her tears – but he could sense the feelings this woman was experiencing. Generally, royal protocol calls for a handshake and brief conversation in public situations like this, but Prince William understood the woman needed more support than that.

So, in an unprecedented turn of events, Prince William channelled his mother’s compassionate nature and gave Fatima a long embrace while she sobbed. This was the worst time in Fatima’s life and Prince William was there to ease her pain – even if only for a moment.

A family friend of Fatima’s told the Mirror UK that the Prince’s gesture meant the world to her.

“She keeps saying, ‘I am nobody, but the Queen and future King of this country came to see me. They really care.'”

Not only was Prince William heartbroken by the victims, but Queen Elizabeth II shared a special birthday statement, reported by KDVR News, in which she spoke about the fire.

“Today is traditionally a day of celebration. This year, however, it is difficult to escape a very somber national mood. In recent months, the country has witnessed a succession of terrible tragedies…

Put to the test, the United Kingdom has been resolute in the face of adversity. United in our sadness, we are equally determined, without fear or favor, to support all those rebuilding lives so horribly affected by injury and loss.”

While this will certainly hurt the people of London for a long time, nothing will keep our ally down. The people will preserve through this period and we’ll be there to root them on!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by the apartment fire, and we hope the missing individuals are found soon!
